5TTR7024A1000 - Trane Multi-Speed Air Conditioner.The new 17 Multi-Speed Air Conditioner uses a newer, lower GWP refrigerant, and is a bridge between a traditional two-stage air conditioner and a premium variable-speed AC unit.Inverter-driven, multi-speed technology gives you higher efficiency, additional operating speeds, and more cooling capacity at extreme temperatures when compared with a two-stage unit. This unit also offers enhanced humidity control.With a SEER2 of up to 17.1 and EER2 of up to 12.5 combined with an inverter compressor, this energy-efficient air conditioner maximizes efficiency and comfort for a lower cost than a variable speed system.
5TAM5B02AC21S - Multi-Speed Air Handlers with Epoxy Coated Coil.The all-aluminum, epoxy-coated coil is more durable than traditional copper coils. And the groundbreking epoxy coating helps prevent residue and odors. The positive-pressure cabinet keeps unwanted air out of the unit, aiding in efficiency and durability.The exclusive Trane Vortica™ blower and fully insulated, double-walled cabinet provides you with with reliable, ultra-quiet operation.Tough, double-wall construction and enclosed foam insulation virtually eliminates sweating and condensation. Less moisture and fewer dust particles are drawn in from garages, attics or crawl spaces, helping improve indoor air quality.
The Trane Hyperion™ Air Handler is compatible with heat pumps and AC units using the newest refrigerant, R-454B with a lower global warming potential (GWP).

General
This unit is designed to operate at outdoor ambient temperatures from 55° F to 120° F in cooling. From –0° F to 66° F in heating (heat pumps only). Only AHRI approved indoor matches are approved for use with these models.
Casing
Unit casing is constructed of heavy gauge. G60 galvanized steel and painted with a weatherresistant powder paint on all louvered panels and prepaint on all other panels. Corrosion and weatherproof CMBP-G30 DuraTuff™ base.
Refrigerant Controls
Refrigeration system controls include condenser fan, compressor inverter drive, and high and low pressure switches. A factory supplied, field installed filter is standard.
Compressor
Inverter driven compressor with variable output capacities. Compressor protections reduce operating speed and current draw to maintain operation while protecting the compressor.
Condenser Coil
The Spine Fin™ outdoor coil provides low airflow resistance and efficient heat transfer. The coil is protected on all four sides by louvered panels.
Low Ambient Cooling
As manufactured, this system has built in freeze protection that will allow cooling operation below 55° F but will reduce capacity or shutdown completely to prevent operation under adverse conditions.
